SERENITY GUEL

Serenity is a native Austinite. She loves the city, the people, and the artistic vibe that is so prevalent in the Austin area. While she loves to create interesting pieces of art for fun, it is the diversity of artists, the uniqueness of each art piece, and the personal impact that art has on the viewer that fascinates her the most. She is a lover of people. An advocate for social justice, a kind-hearted soul that seeks to bring out the best in everyone she meets. Currently, her favorite type of style is weird art, surrealism, realism, cartoon, and 1800s art.

ISRAEL GUEL II

Israel is a contemporary artist that works and lives in Austin, Texas. His love of art began as a young child as he discovered the pure joy and peace that comes with freedom of expression. Through the years, his passion for art has been inspired by the art of Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso, his two favorite artists, his father-in-law, who taught him the importance of fine details during his years as a manual machinist in his shop, and Mrs. Katherine Ryder, his 8th-grade art teacher, who always was a source of encouragement and motivation. Today, Israel enjoys the additional inspiration that comes from his children and grandchildren who are always a source of enjoyment.

Through this inspiration and finding refuge in the ability to create, he has spent his life using his God-given gift to create extraordinary art pieces through various mediums, including acrylics, charcoal, oils, pencils, watercolor, and found materials. His versatility lends itself to the creation of an assortment of styles such as abstracts, found objects, landscapes, portrait drawing, still life, and surrealism. While primarily self-taught, Israel has attended classes at the Glassell School of Art in Houston, Texas, and The Contemporary Austin in Austin, Texas.
